I remember when I saw my first Jil Sander collection. It was the Spring/Summer 2008 collection and it’s one of those collections that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. I just loved everything about that collection and the clothes just felt so otherworldly and ethereal. I wanted to be the woman that would wear those clothes. Ever since then, I’ve loved Raf Simon’s designs for Jil Sander and it saddens me that he’s leaving.
That said, this was such a beautifully designed collection and a fantastic sendoff for an incredibly talented designer. I heard he’s going to Dior? Well, whatever his future endeavors may be, I’ll definitely be keeping track of Simons’ career. I just absolutely LOVE his designs. And just LOOK at that shot of him crying. I just. I can’t.
